The Secret To 40 Years of Marriage

My in-laws recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. We a blue collar type family and it’s more about the company we keep and the conversations than it is fancy dinners, expensive wine and dressing up. We headed to a local Italian place that’s kid friendly (nine grandkids in total). I took a couple minutes to talk to both the bride and groom, asking them what’s the secret to a successful marriage. I guess I’m looking for tips because I’m on the verge of my seventh anniversary.
The advice I got from my in-laws is very simple and to the point. However, it totally makes sense.
